Please provide the following Details along with your .doc RESUME. ** *Job Title: Cisco Engineer* *Location: Madison, WI* *Duration: 12 Months* *Rate : $40/hr CtoC* * * *Job Description:* - function as a high-level technical and customer support resource in the network and server consolidation processes of this agency - Experience should include at minimum support of 1000 plus nodes in a distributed state-wide environment - The candidate should be skilled in prioritization of tasks and experience would be preferred in the realm of technology infrastructure consolidation in both centralized and decentralized environments - Must be capable of doing the research required to provide recommendations for design and implementation, planning and system administration for a wide variety of platforms and applications - Must be able to particapate in, and in some cases, lead small projects or components of projects related to development of the resources required to establish the IT Infrastructure of DCF - The candidate would be expected to utilize industry standard best practices and methodologies and provide knowledge transfer to other staff through both direct communication and formal documentation - Experience with enabling uninterrupted day-to-day support in 24x7x365 environments is preferred - Ability to work within matrix reporting environment - Ability to meet budgeted and planned deliverables consistently. - Server administration - User test, System test, and User Acceptance test plans - Requirements gathering - Requirements validation - General understanding of LANDesk (for patch management, software deployment, inventory management - Develop standards, Evaluate and recommend hardware, software and third-party solutions - Work with management to identify business needs - Monitor and maintain software and hardware for optimal performance - Perform maintenance activities, systems backups and restore data - Work with vendor to implement the software platforms - Work with vendor to resolve hardware and software problems REQUIRED SKILLS: - Experience providing for standardization, configuration, testing, administration, support, monitoring and maintenance for servers, applications and network infrastructure as well as the related development of documentation and processes as required. - 5+ Yrs. Linux/Unix - Experience with MS Office products - Tivoli - Active Directory Tools - 5+ Yrs. experience with Cisco - 2+ Yrs.
