*Required skills, for all positions:*

   - 4 Year Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Computer Science
   okay with practical embedded software development experience)
   - Embedded and Communication Protocols knowledge required for all
   positions
   - 7 to 10 years experience for all positions



*Position #1**: 32 BIT Embedded Engineer*



C & C++, Real Time, 32 Bit Processors (Microcontroller & Coldfire a strong
plus)



*Embedded keywords in the resume:*

   - Freescale
   - C and C++
   - real time or real-time
   - communication protocols
   - microcontroller - STRONG PLUS
   - Coldfire - STRONG PLUS



*Responsibilities:*

   - Responsible for designing, developing, and debugging a residential
   lighting control system:
   - Design/architect software - contractor will be responsible to help
   design robust and reusable object-oriented software
   - Add/extend new features - contractor will be responsible for adding new
   features to Greenbird/ Resi-Quantum/Quantum software
   - The exact details on the new features will be decided at a later date
   based on highest customer priorities
   - Fix bugs/faults/errors - contractor will be responsible for reporting
   and fixing any bugs that are found in the software
   - Testing - contractor will be responsible to create and perform testing
   related to changes made in the software
   - Documentation - contractor will be responsible to create appropriate
   documents for all changes made to software





*Position #2**: 8 BIT Embedded Engineer*



C, 8 Bit Processor, hardware design concepts (Freescale 9S08 a plus)

*Experience Required:*

   - Minimum 5 years of applicable experience in Embedded Systems Product
   design
   - Working knowledge of C
   - Familiarity with 8-bit processor architectures
   - Familiarity with hardware design concepts, ability to troubleshoot
   mixed hardware/software issues
   - Freescale 9S08 Processor familiarity a plus
   - Familiarity with Communication Protocols



*Responsibilities:*

   - Design/architect software - responsible to help design robust code,
   reused across multiple platforms for new features in a cross-functional
   development team environment
   - Bug hunt and fix – responsible to report and fix bugs identified within
   the software
   - Test - responsible for completing bench testing of developed software
   - Document – responsible for documenting changes made to software





*Position #3**: SW Embedded Engineer*



C, microcontroller, low power, (ti msp430 & freescale hcs08 both a plus)



*Embedded keywords in the resume:*

   - embedded
   - microcontroller
   - C/C++
   - communication protocols
   - low power
   - ti msp430 (ideally the x2xx family)
   - freescale hcs08



*Responsibilities:*

   - Responsible for designing, developing, and debugging sensors:
   - Design/Architect software - contractor will be responsible to help
   design robust and resuable software for Sensors
   - Explore/Add/Extend features - contractor will be responsible for
   exploring features which  involves writing code that will be easily modified
   for quick testing and feedback iterations. The exact details on the features
   will be decided at a later date based on customer feedback and product
   requirements
   - Fix bugs/faults/errors - contractor will be responsible for reporting
   and fixing any bugs that are found in the software
   - Testing - contractor will be responsible to create and perform testing
   related to changes made in the software
   - Documentation - contractor will be responsible to create appropriate
   documents for all changes made to software
