Client is unable to provide sponsorship *Description:* The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years IT experience with a minimum of 5 years working with the IBM WebSphere Product family. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate hands on experience in the installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Server ND V5.1 & V6.1 in an enterprise environment. *Minimum Requirements:* Experience required in most or all of the following: - Security implementation - J2EE application deployment - Configuring data sources and other backend resources - Performance tuning - Trouble shooting In addition to WebSphere Application Server experience candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in the installation, configuration and administration of any of the following: - IBM WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation V5.1 - WebSphere Process Server - WebSphere Portal Serer V5.1 & V6.1 - DB2 Content Manager V8.2 & V8.3 Additional product experience: (Should have knowledge with Most) - AIX - Windows - IBM HTTP Server - Tivoli Web Seal - Tivoli Access Manager - DB2 V8.2 - IBM Directory Server - Active Directory - Experience working in a Scrum or Agile environment - Familiarity with Design Patterns & other Abstract Data Structures - Strong interpersonal, influencing and communications skills - Should have practical work experience in a multi-tiered architectural environment. Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, with exceptional written and communication skills - Demonstrated a record of developing successful applications that are highly integrated and reliable - Education: At least a four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field *Responsibilities:* 1. Provide Middleware Installation Services to verify that systems are operational and ready to support Customer Application requirements: · Design, Implement and Maintain Middleware processes and procedures. Provide the processes and procedures to application owners and make sure that they understand their role in the processes and confirm their participation in procedures. · Install Middleware Products. · Work with application Operation and Maintenance (O&M) or developers to test Middleware Services. · Define and communicate start-up and shut-down requirements. · Provide scripts and schedules for Middleware Services. 2. Provide assistance in configuring Middleware Instances to most effectively support Customer Application requirements · Establish baseline configuration parameters for Middleware Systems. · Modify Middleware Installation Parameters to achieve the best performance. · Determine and advice OS System Administrators of required OS System parameter changes. · Work with Customer Application Providers to determine the optimum configurations for the applications. · Monitor and Tune Middleware Service Parameters for the most effective operation. 3.
