Position: Jr. SQA Whitebox Test Engineer-Java
LOA: 6 months
Payrate: up to $25/hr C2C MAX
Description:
. Looking for hands on white box testing engineer who can work very closely
with the product development team and help the team to accelerate the
development work for quicker delivery of product to the market in top
condition.
. This person would work directly with one or more developers and would be
responsible for doing white box testing, adding unit tests, writing
automation tests alongside of development team and would be responsible for
assisting in delivering key products to the market in top condition.
. The person must be innovative, insightful, curious and be a strong
advocate as well as a regular practitioner of top quality deliverables.
Position Duties
. Work in an agile software development environment and work very closely
with development team to ensure the quality of the assigned products.
. Gain a technical and functional understanding of the product architecture
and become part of ongoing feature and enhancement quality effort
. Work proactively with members of an Agile team to find and fix defects in
our product architecture.
Position Requirements
1-3+ years of combined software development and software QA experience, with
a distinguished track record on highly technical and complex distributed
projects.
Strong knowledge of object oriented concepts with 2+ years coding experience
in Core Java.
Ability to write good SQL queries.
Good understanding and usage of JUnit and/or TestNG
Worked in both Client/Server and Web environments
Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously with little supervision
Able to work flexible hours, especially during product launches and
production environment issues
Experience and exposure to working with multiple platforms (OS and Database)
including Windows, Linux/Solaris(understanding of basic commands)
Knowledge of databases(good understanding of JDBC)- Oracle, SQL etc.
Exceptional problem solving abilities
Computer Science degree required.
Pluses:
Working knowledge of C# and C++
Worked in a .NET Framework environment
Experience with Remedy System
Previous experience testing CRM applications
MSCS degree preferred
