*Position : ETL Data/Systems Analyst* *Location: Berkeley Heights* *Duration: 4.5 months* *Rate: $40/hr* * * *Analyzes, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Develops system requirements and detailed program specifications including detailed Functional Specifications and Detailed Design definition. Closely coordinates with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. Hands-on involvement with the ETL developers for unit, system and Integration testing. Provides advisory, planning, design, architecture, and technology implementation/integration services to customers to drive tangible business benefit. Requirements: Ability to take a holistic view ofØ the reportable data and find out how it will tie back to the source systems. Ability to clearly define detailed Functional, Non-Functional and DataØ requirements for the ETL development and Testing activities based on business requirements. Ability to work in partnership with Sr. Business SystemØ Analyst to define the Detailed Business & System Requirements. AbilityØ to create logical data model definitions based on the Business Rules produced and use cases therein. Ability to develop source to target business ruleØ mappings for the ETL development team. Ability to articulate thoughtsØ clearly in writing and during technical discussions and presentations. Ø Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the development team, management, business users, other IT systems owners and DA/DBA group. Be aØ self-motivating individual and perform independently in a dynamic environment. Be a strong Team Lead. Should have Data modeler experience in a Data Warehouse project with Ab Initio and Cognos 8. Project Experience with Commercial P&C with Workers Compensation claims is a big plus Responsibilities: Perform Detail Data Analysis.Ø WorkØ in partnership with Sr BSA for source Data Analysis; perform data profiling for in-depth analysis. Identify Data requirements from the businessØ requirements to prepare Source - Target mapping, data dictionary, and prepare Detailed Functional Specifications. Design Conceptual Data model and SDD.Ø Assist the DBA in converting the logical model(s) to physical Map ETLØ requirements to specifications traceability. Work in tandem with BusinessØ Analyst to prepare and validate Unit Test Cases and ensure data elements are being properly tested. Work in partnership with Sr. Business Analyst toØ Manage testing – QA/UAT and NCCI Certification. Create System andØ Integration Test Cases and Test Data.
