*A BI/ETL Application Systems Architect performs the following responsibilities: * ** · Leads and develops technical requirements documentation · Leads and develops technical design documentation · Leads and develops logical data models and perform extensive data analysis · Leads and develops technical implementations plans · Leads the development/support of industrial strength technical solutions (i.e., reports, workflow, interfaces, program logic) while meeting internal standards · Leads and conducts unit testing of the solutions · Troubleshoots application related issues and provides Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on high severity failures · Drives performance related improvements within the application, database and O/S layers · Assists Business Analysts with integration, regression and acceptance testing · Documents application architecture components · Architects applications to meet business process requirements · Provides business application experience for an entire business process (e.g., Product Life-Cycle Management, Order to Cash, Demand to Build, Procure to Pay, Financials, HR/Payroll, Business Intelligence) through multiple technology solutions · Partners with vendors/consultants to establish, create and execute deliverables · Project Manages system enhancements and small projects *Required Skills/Experience:* · Must possess 8 years experience in technical development and support of an enterprise Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse (BI/DW) environment · Excellent technical skills (i.e., Oracle Discoverer, Oracle XML Publishing, SQL, PL/SQL experience, and ETL tools) · Extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of the BI/DW lifecycle including tool analysis, architecture, data modeling, design (preferably using STAR schema approach), development and implementation · Hands-on experience in building enterprise reports with major professional report building software packages such as SAS, Information Builders, and/or Cognos. · Exceptional ETL technical skills · Extensive experience developing and maintaining Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), database logical models and physical schema diagrams · Experience leading other Business Intelligence technical resources (e.g., contractors, developers, DBA's) · Proven ability to lead the analysis and remediation of complex technical problems · Experience working with Infrastructure teams on performance related issues (e.g., network, storage, CPU, memory, application, database) · Oracle DBA Skills are strongly desired · Proven ability to guide business stakeholders from reporting need analysis to final solution · Experience performance tuning large data warehouses · Understanding of Data Life Cycle management methodologies · Manufacturing experience is desired · Prior web development experience using ASP.NET is desired · Strong technical project leadership skills · Strong analytical and decision making skills. · Excellent oral and writing communication skills. · Demonstrates strong leadership/conflict management skills. · Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, energetic environment. · Demonstrated ability to implement large scale IT projects on-time, on-schedule and with quality.
