The Information Technology Department delivers superior customer experiences

IT Server Infrastructure Team’s key responsibilities are to manage, update,
architect and support the following infrastructure, Wintel and UNIX servers,
desktop experience, and storage systems to satisfy the growing needs of
Client and its customers.

*Job Summary:*

This position is responsible for supporting, managing and implementing all
storage infrastructures (SAN) for Client.  This includes direct attached
storage components, fibre attached storage arrays, tape libraries and other
associated equipment such as cabling and SAN switches.  The SAN Analyst III
will perform daily systems management and tuning, including maintenance and
trend analysis of the SAN infrastructure:





*Essential Functions:*

   - Serve as part of the IT Infrastructure Team in developing and
   implementing next generation banking systems architectures around SAN and
   Storage products
   - Ensure stable implementation and support of enterprise servers, storage
   arrays, and tape libraries that are part of the SAN environment in a
   multi-site datacenter environment
   - Ensure stable implementation and support of multi-protocol SAN
   directors, with over 500+ ports in a multi-site datacenter environment
   - Ensure stable implementation and support of over 450+ TB of SAN storage
   in a multi-site datacenter environment
   - Provide daily administration and provisioning of storage related
   systems
   - Support the backup and recovery strategy for the enterprise for Storage
   products in conjunction with the Backup Team
   - Research, recommend and implement changes to current SAN platforms
   - Ensure the stability and performance of all SAN infrastructure and
   their key associated applications.
   - Perform proactive capacity planning, including short term and long-term
   trend analysis, ensuring all storage is monitored for capacity and stability
   - Recommend policies, procedures and purchases related to systems
   administration, security, etc.
   - Maintain the inventory system pertaining to hardware and equipment
   - Verify and recommend warranties on all enterprise storage devices
   - Perform audits of storage and make recommendations to management on use
   - Create and manage disaster recovery procedures systems
   - Understanding of all IT Best Practices for administering Windows,
   Linux, Unix, VMware, and Storage devices **
   - Write comprehensive detailed documents for building, troubleshooting,
   installing, recovering, and supporting all SAN servers and applications *
   *
   - Assist Risk and Security teams with policy creations to govern the use
   of all storage **
   - Ability to cross train and develop other technical staff **

*Experience & Qualifications:*

   - *7 years* of hands on experience with EMC Symmetrix, Clarion and
   Celerra **
   - Continued training and study in Technology and Business Leadership **
   - Technical training on UNIX, Windows platform and VMware design and
   support as it pertains to backend storage **



*Education and/or Certifications:***

   - Four-year degree in related discipline (i.e. Computer Science) or 5+
   years of professional experience in related field **

*Technical skills and abilities:*

   - Working Experience of storage allocation and tuning on the *EMC
   Symmetrix DMX platform*
   - Working Experience of storage allocation and tuning on the *EMC
   Clariion platform*
   - Working Experience of storage allocation and tuning on the *EMC Celerra
   platform** *
   - Experience managing and configuring the EMC Centera Content Addressed
   Storage platform
   - Must be able to manage a *Cisco Fabric OS environment* consisting of *
   MDS-9500* series switches
   - Understanding of Windows, Linux, AIX and VMware ESX server platforms
   and how they interact with storage
   - Solid understanding of fiber channel zoning concepts and practices
   - Experience of *fiber channel cabling concepts* and cable plant
   management
   - Quickly and effectively troubleshoot SAN systems, to include servers,
   switches and arrays
   - Experience of Netbackup
   - Experience with *enterprise class tape libraries*
   - Must be able to document systems using Visio, Word and Excel
   - Working Experience of *EMC** Control Center*
   - Working Experience of *EMC Workload Analyzer* to diagnose performance
   issues in a SAN environment
