The following skills and experiences are a MUST HAVE:
1. A minimum of five years installing, configuring, tuning, and
supporting Oracle databases on *Microsoft Windows servers.*
1. Two of the five years must include installing and configuring *Oracle
Fail Safe* and *Microsoft Clustering Services.*
2. A minimum of two years configuring, tuning, and supporting Oracle 10g
databases.
3. A minimum of two years configuring and supporting Oracle databases
using the Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN).
4. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
5. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
6. Must have strong analytical skills.
7. Experience in the planning and configuration of the new *Windows
servers and storage area network (SAN).*
8. Experience in the installation and configuration of Oracle 11g and
Oracle Fail Safe.
9. Experience in developing a migration plan for upgrading each database
from Oracle 9i to Oracle 11g.
10. Developed database migration plans
11. Strong knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL.
12. Experience in fine tuning to optimize database performance.
13. Designed, implemented a backup and recovery plan for Oracle database.
14. Experience in developing scripts to automate routine database
administration functions.
15. Strong knowledge of Oracle 9i
16. Applied Oracle Critical Patches for the Oracle 9i and Oracle 11g
databases.
17. Good problem solving
18. Good technical writing skill and have developed technical
documentation for Oracle 11g environment.
*The contractor should have experience in the following:*
