We are seeking a *VB.Net / ASP.NET Developer* to develop *Windows

The successful candidates will possess the ability to operate in a team
environment, have good communication skills, and have the ability to develop
application components based on design criteria.

In addition to working as a primary team member, the developer should also
be able to design, develop, and deploy smaller applications in a timely

This position will be used to help provide support for a *Visual Basic
application*. The application utilizes *Sql Server Databases* at the back

There is an effort to develop new applications and migrate existing
applications into the *.NET programming platform*.

Following is the *Senior/Lead Developer's* position description.

Responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation,
maintenance, and testing of software applications the incumbent is expected
to make recommendations of workable solutions to processing problems. All
deliverables should be timely and cost effective. The incumbent is expected
to serve as team leader for these projects and mentor junior developers.

*Basic Job Requirement:*

·         *Eight (8+) years *minimum prior experience in application systems
development, design, and analysis with emphasis and experience in skills
listed below Eight (8+) years minimum experience with *database design and
database access methods* for application systems.

·         Experience as a *lead developer* in at least *four large scale
projects* that impact* systems and operational areas.*

·         Advanced design skills for development of solutions for software
applications and systems, consistent with business requirements; ability to
write effective technical specifications.

·         Advanced programming skills in at least *3 major programming
languages* (i.e. VB.Net, C#, Java, JavaScript, C, or Perl).

·         Advanced knowledge of relational technology and skills in
developing and using *Structured Query Language (SQL)* to perform queries on
database platforms such as *Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2*, or other
industry leading database engines.

·         Advanced skills in developing platform independent object oriented
and client server applications.

·         Advanced skills in reporting design and structure with one or more
industry tools (i.e. *Microsoft Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, or
Business Objects*).

·         Advanced skills in developing standards-based inter-application
communication using *SOAP* or other *XML-based web services technologies*.

·         Skills in developing, managing, and deploying web-based
applications using *HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, Cascading Style Sheets
(CSS)*and other web technologies.

·         Demonstrated ability to use at least two of the following
operating system platforms: *Windows, Linux, Unix, and Mac OS X.*

·         Demonstrated experience using full-term software development
lifecycle, including the use of a revision control system like *Microsoft
Visual SourceSafe*.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks individually while under a full
workload and tight deadlines.

·         Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills.

·         Ability to provide effective feedback.

·         Ability to mentor junior developers.

·         Effective work and time management skills.

·         Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills for working with
customers, employees, and team members.

·         Ability to be creative in all aspects of work performance.

·         Willingness to learn and apply new technologies quickly.

·         Maintain technical aptitude by reviewing trade communications and
enrolling in appropriate training, conferences, etc.
