Position Description:
The SSA's Division of Validation and Testing Technologies initiatives
include maintenance of the Validation Database (VDB) system, redesign and
transformation of the VDB into a centralized test data management system,
and securing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by protecting and
sanitizing additional data elements such as name, date of birth, financial
account information, and address.
A principal team member is needed to support various analysis activities of
the team including Mainframe legacy production, requirements analysis,
architecture, data modeling, use case preparation, design, and
documentation. The candidate is expected to deploy skills and experiences
over multiple work orders.
To successfully staff for these initiatives, contractors must possess the
following skills, knowledge, and experience:

Mandatory Skills/Experience In:
Skills
Principal skill level business/systems analysis
Proven project leadership
MS Office (Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Knowledge/Experience
Developing mainframe and Web artifacts for applications that
communicate to a database; candidate to provide samples of project artifacts
Utilizing an industry accepted software development lifecycle
Data modeling documentation of large-scale/enterprise-wide databases
Communicating with upper level management and senior technicians,
both orally and in writing
Performing in-depth systems/business analysis for large-scale /
enterprise-wide systems using a structured approach
Preferred principal-level analytical skills/experience in:
Requisite Pro
SSA's programmatic systems
Creating/Using Data warehouses
Performing use-case modeling / requirements analysis
Designing and architecting systems
Integrating Mainframe and Web-based interfaces
Developing PC oriented applications via technologies such as JAVA,
ASP.NET, or Cold Fusion
Leading a cross-component workgroup
Education and Certifications:
Professional project management or analyst certification preferred
