Cisco Network Security Engineer Houston, TX ( Austin/Dallas/San Antonio or even Louisiana) is optional) Client will do a FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW onsite in Houston Overview: The primary role of the Network Security Engineer is to implement, audit, manage, optimize and troubleshoot network security solutions. Strong Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine- wired, wireless, and VPN) experience is needed. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the delivey of Cisco Security Solutions and must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience with solution design, implementations and support. Network Security Consultant will implement network security solutions primarily focused on policy enforcement -- Cisco ASA (FW/VPN), Cisco Security Manager (CSM), Cisco FirePOWER, IDS/IPS, NAC, Client, 802.1x and traffic Analysis and Security Monitoring. The individual will consult while working as part of a delivery team and/or individually as the delivery lead. This ideal resource should have experience with providing customers with technical and best practice guidance, hands-on configuration, deployment support, product training, and project management support. Requirements: 1. Must have 2-4 yrs Network Security configuration and support of CISCO ASA, and PALO Alto Firewall environments as well as expertise with Intrusion Protection and Intrusion Detection Systems: 2. Must have direct experience with ASA/SourceFire and FireSIGHT 3. Must have direct experience Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) 4. Experience with Sourcefire or other (IPS)Intrusion Protection and (IDS) Intrusion Detection Systems 5. Experience with troubleshooting, configuring, and supporting Cisco switches (IOS, IOS XE, NXOS, Nexus 7000, 3850 / 3750 StackWise) 6. Practical knowledge of TCP/IP packet analysis with Wireshark or other tools 7. Should have hands-on experience troubleshooting, configuring, and supporting Cisco ISR/ASR routers including experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Etc. 8. Should have WAN optimization implementation and management experience E.G. Riverbed, WAAS , 9. Security standards, safeguards, and controls for local, national, and international regulations, practices and resources 10. Experience in the GAS/OIL INDUSTRY is HUGE PLUS 11. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 12. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator. 13. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
