*Location: Lincolnshire, IL Duraton:6 + months Rate: $50* Must-haves - Linux Engineering - Bash scripting - Virtualization - VMWare, Redhat Enterprise Virtualization (Rhev), or HyperV - RHEL - *Writing scripts from scratch to automate processes – the more extensive background in scripting the better* - *Experience with either Chef or Puppet* Plusses - Ruby = huge plus - Python = huge plus - Chef Day-to-Day This company needs Linux/Automation Engineers to support project teams doing server builds as the primary focus. They eventually want to get to the point to where they are automating processes by writing scripts to do server builds, upgrades, patching, re-hosting, and physical to virtual conversions (P2V). They will perform Linux administration and script to try to automate as much as possible, specifically the configuration control of the environment through Linux.
