Job Description :


Experience with SAN, NAS , CIFS and NFS shares

Experience in Netapp & Flexpod administration

NAS volume expansion , snapshot management for NAS CIFs and NFS related
issues

Volume creation, Volume expansion (Thick and Thin provisioning)

Strong knowledge on iSCSI, FC, FCoE SAN Fabric Networks

SAN Zoning on SAN switches like Cisco MDS, Brocade etc.

LUN Provisioning, LUN Expansion

Performance tuning on NAS and SAN storages.

Good knowledge in data center migration activities and hand on experience
in Storage migrations / hardware refresh

Provide Technical Support on Backup Software

Monitor backup job schedule and performance

Perform restore request

Solve issues with backups and restores

Working experience with tape library and disk based backup solution

Vendor coordination

Monitoring the alerts, storage using GUI and command line.

Knowledge in De-duplication technologies

Support Backup and Recovery software platforms (TSM, NBU )

Task Requirements: Storage

Responsible for timely resolution of all incidents by the provider.
Takeover of the technical coordination as Escalation Engineer between the
customer and the providers.

Experience with SAN, NAS , CIFS and NFS shares administration

Solve issues with backups and restores

Working experience with tape library and disk based backup solution

Provide Technical Support on Backup Software

Installation of backup utility / tools to appropriate server and
troubleshooting

Monitor backup job schedule and performance for backup

Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases

 Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and

Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.

Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.

Develop and maintain records for entire storage as well as FC systems.
LUNs. Ops. Unix Skills:

 Excellent knowledge in monitoring, troubleshooting, supporting,
installation and configuration of HpUx Suse Linux, RHEL environment

Configuration of NIS, NFS, SAMBA

Configuration of Virtualization in Unix.

Installation and patching of systems, file system creation, deletion,
migrations, basic troubleshooting, implements policies, basic security
management System design, redesign and sizing, enhanced troubleshooting /
root cause analysis, security, log and patch administration

Experience in  system recovery and disaster management and performance
management.

Task Requirements: Unix

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability
of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing
system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
such as backups.

Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and
system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery
tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as
necessary.

Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.

Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies.?

Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.? Coordinate and
communicate with the vendor or other required teams to close the issue
within the agreed SLAs

Provide all the necessary reports to the customer weekly / monthly or as
required.

 Experience in system recovery and disaster management and performance
management.

 Prepare a detailed report for any P1 outage with a RCA / postmortem
analysis.

 Installation and patching of systems, file system creation, deletion,
migrations, basic troubleshooting, implements policies, basic security
management

Upgrade and configure system software that supports applications.  Perform
periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Ensure the BCP schedules are followed with precision and check the
application for RPO and RTO as agreed with the customer
