Role: QA Tester Duration: Above 6 months Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201 Only Candidates with GC/EAD-GC/USC SCOPE OF SERVICES: QA Tester will have the following responsibilities: · Learn NYC Business application functionality and DOITT application delivery standards and procedures. · Contribute to review of the requirements and other project design and planning documents in collaboration with Project Manager, Business Analyst, Development team, staff QA lead, provide QA comments and sign off. · Develop test strategy and test scenarios for testing assigned NYC Business components. · Load and maintain requirements and test scripts into the Quality Center. · Maintain necessary documentation in SharePoint project site. · Acquire / create / verify test data. · Execute test cases according to test plan. · Work with project teams to track, report and resolve defects using Quality Center. · Assist support team in the deployments. · Contribute to identifying appropriate test cases for sanity testing, regression testing. · Identify test scenarios suitable for test automation and automate them where applicable. · Contribute to identifying scenarios for performance testing. · Make sure all assigned tasks’ status is properly reported and documented. · Execute all other QA tasks in the SDLC process. · Attend project team meetings as necessary. · Create and/or contribute in the design of the following deliverables: Test Strategy & test plan Detailed Test Cases Test Scripts Traceability matrix Test estimates Progress report for test execution Defect report MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: · At least 4 years of experience as a QA Tester. · Strong verbal skills to communicate with non-technical resources. · Strong issue resolution and investigation skills. · Ability to articulate and document the steps taken to resolve an issue. · Ability to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance. · Experience in performing end-to-end test process for complex enterprise solutions. · Experience in analyzing business requirements and covering them with test cases. · Experience with specifics of functional and compatibility testing of browser based UI. · Experience with testing UI for mobile responsive features. · Hands on experience with test automation using record/play back and/or custom coded scripts tools using UFT/QTP or Selenium or other open source tools. · Understanding of the concept of browser / HTML based UI and the need of compatibility testing. · Understanding of relational databases concept, ability to design SQL query and use them for QA tasks. · Understanding components of enterprise web based application, n-tier and SOA based architecture. · Must be proficient computer user with hands on experience with MS Office applications for documentation creation as well as test data preparation and management. DESIREABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: · Understanding the purpose and functionality of the content management systems like TeamSite. · Understanding the purpose and major features of the poplar rules engine, Blaze Advisor is preferred.
