*Position: Scripting Consultant(3-6 years exp)* *Location: Dallas TX* *Duration: Long term contract* *Client: Apex Systems* *Hourly rate: $33/hr on c2c max* *Description:* These Developers will be working with PERL, HTML, XML, JAVASCRIPT, JQUERY, AJAX, and MYSQL. The ideal candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in object-oriented programming languages preferably in PERL but will also consider those with PHP, RUBY, PYTHON or JAVASCRIPT/ANGULAR/NODE. Candidate must be willing to learn PERL. Client is not a PERL only shop. On the server side they use Java/ PHP/ Perl … depending on requirements, as projects get specified. Developers may be working in PHP one day and Perl the next as they begin to migrate legacy applications from IT, they will be seeing more Java. Their databases run on about everything you can imagine (Oracle, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra, etc). At the middle level, they are using Ajax, Node.js and Rest/Soap for API development. On the client side, they are using Javascript, jQuery, Ember.js, JSON, XML, Bootstrap, Mojolicious, HTML5 and CSS3. Everything from the middle layers on up to the client side are fairly close to “latest and greatest” all in context of an environment that requires 5 9’s uptime. A day in the life of a full-stack developer typically encompasses working within all of the technologies listed above. Initially, the Dallas team will be doing heavy server/db side work as they map out core object-oriented modules, plan on how to refactor php, figure out how to integrate with existing API’s etc. However this phase will probably last 6 months…. After that the dev’s will be working with multiple client and middleware technologies along with back-end.
