Job Description

·         Experiences with circuit design for automotive electronic control
units, including analog circuit design.

·         Experience required with MOSFETs driving inductive loads (motors,
solenoids, fuel injectors, and switch mode power supplies.) Also, related
transient analysis.

·         Experiences in electronics design tools such as: Circuit
Simulator, CAD and lab  equipment and procedures (power supply, signal
generators, scopes, and soldering) are required.

·         Knowledge in EMC is essential. (Design approaches for EMC
robustness, and  experience with EMC testing and problem solving, etc.)

·         Knowledge in discrete electronic components and semiconductor
technologies is essential.

·         Experiences with Quality Management Systems, Circuit Development
Process, FMEA and circuit manufacturing process.



Job Duties

·         Circuit analysis including worst case, monte-carlo, etc.
Interface with ECAD for circuit board layout, compliance with Manufacturing
Design Rules.

·         Control and release Electrical BOM.

·         Work with product assurance to develop test specifications on
required test equipment.

·         Lead EMC activities to ensure compliance and final approvals from
customer.

·         Interface with suppliers for development of component
specifications, resolving open issues and ensure part availability.

·         Identification and implementation of all necessary design
changes. Participate in design reviews.

·         Perform electrical development of bench testing.

·         Documentation of all aspects in the product development process.

·         Development of hardware/software interface specifications.

·         Lead design reviews with peers and Technical Specialists.

·         Design change tracking.

Job Description

·         Plan and conduct design assessments, inspections, and reviews of
assigned products and requirements.

·         Develop Design Validation Tests (DVT) and Design and/or Process
Validation Plans (DVP, PVP). Negotiate start and completion dates, schedule
testing, and seek customer approval for plans and timing.

·         Define test equipment; quote various test equipment vendors,
select appropriate vendors, and coordinate the procurement of Design
Verification test equipment.

·         Ensure capability and performance of all test equipment and
facilities.

·         Execute developmental, Design and/or Process Validation,
Key-Life, design characterization and limit/margin testing with project
team(s) and testing labs (internal & external), as necessary.

·         Generate developmental, Design and/or Process Validation reports
(DVP&R, PVP&R) and distribute, as required. Initiate and support any test
issue 8D’s and work with project teams through issue resolution.

·         Generate, release and update Engineering Specifications. Support
Manufacturing In-Process (IP) Test development, application and
optimization.

·         Support Manufacturing Engineers on assigned project team(s).
Develop and maintain product critical and significant characteristic lists.

·         Develop EMC testing plans and seek necessary customer approvals.
Coordinate and support EMC testing for Developmental, DV and PV testing
with appropriate testing facilities. Document & archive as required.

·         Work with Product Design teams to develop appropriate test
coverage mapped to customer and internal requirements. Collect and organize
the test data for all levels of testing, as required.

·         Support the design teams with FMEA and requirements traceability
development. Support product technical design reviews.

·         Troubleshoot concerns with test equipment and coordinate the

Job Description

·         Highly organized with good oral and written communication skills

·         Performing and managing functional safety activities in
accordance with a safety standard; preferably ISO 26262 with an emphasis on
Parts 4, 5 and 6.

·         Performing and leading safety analysis; FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA
(Dependent Failure Analysis)

·         Embedded electronics development experience; preferably safety
electronics

·         Ability to develop requirements utilizing PC level tools

·         Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component
specifications

·         Ability to read and understand high level SW models and code

·         Ability to read and understand high level System models

·         · Participate in HW metrics activities compliant to ISO 26262

·         · Participate in subsystem safety analysis using FMEA and
Quantified FTA methods.

systems engineer; preferably in an automotive environment. Alternatively,
consideration granted to candidates with both HW and SW design experience
at the architecture level.

Experience employing ISO26262 concepts and/or other Functional Safety
concepts.



Desired skills and responsibilities:

·         Function analysis at system and sub-system level including FMEA,
FTA, and ASIL

·         decomposition.

·         Requirements capturing and analysis at the system and sub-system
level

·         System functional modeling, preferably utilizing a modeling
language (E.g. UML, SysML)

·         Requirements specification preferably utilizing a requirement
management tool (E.g. DOORS)

·         Development of system design specifications

·         Specification of validation and verification testing and
strategies

·         Able to communicate and contribute in a team environment, and

·         Performance of system and subsystem analyses to support effective
design of embedded systems for automotive applications. These systems
include electronic and electro-mechanical components. Duties include, but
are not limited to, the development of functional models, analysis and
specification of requirements, the creation of FMEA and FTA analyses, and
the creation of specifications and other system related documents.

·         Experienced electronic systems engineer to conduct system
analyses and to analyze customer and internal documents to create system
requirements and specifications to create a design for automotive motion
control systems.
