<p><strong></strong></p> <p>A Functional Owner HMI Senior SW engineer is
responsible for analyzing, interpreting, understanding, and implementing the
assigned OEM customer requirements for specific infotainment functions. In this
position, the engineer will be writing software in C++ on a Linux operating
system using Qt framework, while leading an offsite team and interfacing with a
global customer. </p> <p><strong>Supervisory

<p>This position does not have direct reports, but is responsible to lead a
team of offsite engineers.</p> <p><strong></strong></p> <p><strong>Job

<li>Responsible for the graphical user interface of the infotainment device
which includes screen layouts, screen transitions, graphics,
localization/internationalization, and implementation of customer specific
logic. </li>
<li>Work on HMI which includes interaction with all other infotainment domains
(Bluetooth, Media, Speech, Navigation, Vehicle Functions etc…).</li>
<li>Develop embedded graphical user interfaces for complex in-Vehicle
entertainment, information and communication systems for domestic and
international market.</li>
<li>Working with an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, human
factors, project management, business and brand strategists, and hardware and
software developers.</li>
<li>Able to work on HMI business logic and tie in all the infotainment features
in the system via HMI.</li>
<li>Support in RFQ proposal activities to various groups within Harman on need
basis</li>
<li>Keep abreast of technology trends in Vehicle infotainment HMI.</li>
<li>Analyze existing embedded software to add features, make modifications, fix
bus, and/or port to different platforms.</li>
<li>Tests software designs and code at the unit and system level to insure that
all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved.</li>
<li>Participates in internal and customer driven design reviews throughout
program.</li>
<li>Coordinates software development activities with software team leader.</li>
<li>Identifies product requirement or performance issues. Works with software
team leader to negotiate resolution.</li>
<li>Responsible for analyzing and understanding of the assigned Customer
requirements (CRS) and change requests and for defining/documenting the
resulting features in the (Technical Requirements System) TRS-SW</li>
<li>Responsible for linking the CRS entries to the TRS-SW to ensure 100% CRS
coverage</li>
<li>Responsible for interfacing with the customer for clarification and
approval of all assigned features</li>
<li>Responsible for requesting the required resources necessary to implement
the promised scope</li>
<li>Responsible for planning the work packages for the assigned resources</li>
<li>Commits what stories will be completed by the resources, when the stories
will be completed, who works on each story and task</li>
<li>Attends Story Grooming sessions to ensure correct Description and
Acceptance Criteria of assigned features</li>

<li>Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer/Electronics Engineering or
equivalent </li>
<li>Technology Enthusiast with 5-7 years of overall work experience (Automotive
infotainment domain is preferred).</li>
<li>Excellent programming skills in C++, C under Linux environment is
mandatory.</li>
<li>Experience in developing HMI Applications and related embedded
components.</li>
<li>Experience in QNX, Linux, or Android for development on Infotainment, Audio
or Multimedia products.</li>
<li>Experience in designing complex system architecture.</li>

<li>Working experience with ActionScript, Qt, or HTML5 on embedded systems.</li>
<li>RTOS experience for development on Infotainment, Audio or Multimedia

<li>Working knowledge of QNX, Embedded Linux, and/or Android.</li>
<li>Understanding of State Machine and UML diagrams.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail.</li>
