** *Skill-Set Title: Analyst Programmer (GIS – Gentran Integration Suite)* *Background:* The position of Analyst Programmer is for an IT professional that has over 8 years of IT experience and 5 years of experience in EDI and GIS (Gentran Integration Suite). Expert in EDI transactions (ANSI X12 and EDIFACT) for supply chain, manufacturing and financial systems. Expert in the design, development and on-going support of GIS Business Processes and GIS Translation Maps. Expert in the design, development and implementation of new EDI transactions and on-boarding new EDI trading partners in GIS. Experienced in GIS performance tuning, Advanced File Transfer and Sterling File Gateway composite applications. Knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration concepts and processing of EDI application files. The candidate should have an in-depth working experience on relational data bases such as Oracle 9i/10g. Additionally, the candidate should have in-depth working experience in Unix & Linux operating system, shell scripting, change management tools etc. As part of the design and development process the applicant will need excellent written and verbal skills and should be able to express the designs to both end-users and technical development staff (internal and external). *Objectives: * This is an EDI GIS analyst/developer role that will frequently require analysis/estimates of potential enhancements and/or projects and the implementation of those projects.
