Position: *OBIEE Engineer*** Location: *Marlborough**, MA*** Duration: *Long Term*** Rate: $40-$45/hr all inclusive on C2c *Job Description: * - Our client’s Middleware Delivery team seeks an Oracle BI (OBIEE) Engineer who will be responsible for the design and implementation of an Oracle BI system. - This individual will be primarily responsible for delivering BI solutions and value-add services including products evaluation, system design, development, performance tuning, and systems integration. The person will also be responsible for promoting standard IT processes and architectural best practices. * * *Key to this Position:-* OBIEE, Infrastructure Design, Engineering and Delivery-** * * - *Strong system analysis, architecture, design and development skills* – The position breaks down as follows: 50% hands-on system engineering, 35% development, 15% leadership: working with support engineers and developers across teams. ** - *Very close to the technology – *research*, *design, develop, prototype and configure BI products:** Ø OBIEE Ø Core Java and JEE Ø Reports development using Microsoft office plug-ins, Disconnected Analytics , Answers and Dashboard Ø Other Technology: Tomcat and WebLogic Ø Database: Oracle 11g - *Good knowledge of ITIL practices – *Configuration, Change and Release Management.** - *Strong Infrastructure Management background – *capacity planning, performance management and security. * * *Key Activities: * As an Oracle BI Engineer the candidate will have following responsibilities- - Work on the architecture, design, implementation and development of Oracle BIEE. - Develop reports, repositories and business models. - Development of common reusable components. - Work with operations, infrastructure and application teams to implement BI standards, best practices and guidelines. - Performance benchmark infrastructure. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring, promoting adherence to standardized IT processes, strategic principles and architectural standards. * * *Job Qualifications:* - Strong systems analysis and engineering skills. - 3+ years experience on building reports, business models and repository development on the OBIEE / Seibel Analytics platform. - 4+ years hands on experience on the OBIEE/Seibel Analytics platform as systems engineer. Experience in design, configuration and administration of OBIEE infrastructure. - UNIX scripting is a strong plus – Shell, Perl, Python and WLST. - A project management skill is a plus. - Vendor relationship management and troubleshooting skills are required. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills. - Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
