** *Face to face interview REQUIRED. * *Role:* C#/VB6 Developer – 6+ month contracts located in Grapevine *5-8 openings *Tests required:* *Each candidate will be required to take 2 tests on C# 2.0 and VB6* The consultants will start out developing in VB6 and move to C#. Building new features and debugging. *Skills:* *POS experience is a MUST* C# 2.0 / WinForms application design and development VB6 - and willing to do VB6 maintenance and enhancements about 50% of the time MUST have EXCELLENT communications. *Preferred skills:* .NET 3.5 *Responsibilities:* The core register application is written in VB6. About half of your time will be spent in VB6 application support and maintenance. The other half will be designing and developing C# 2.0 applications on the Windows 2000 platform. The VB6 application will eventually be converted, but it will be awhile. A lot of common enterprise services are called from the POS. This project is for International and Domestic POS development team working on store facing applications. The applications can be complex and handle things such as customer trade-ins, royalty programs, discount programs, etc. If someone has experience working with applications that were utilized in other countries (i.e., currency issues), this would be a plus.
