TITLE: Sr. ETL Developer

Customeris looking for a Sr. ETL Developer. The right candidate will
possessexpert understanding of ETL process architecture and will demonstrate
a solidgrasp of advanced data integration techniques. Primary job duties
will includedesign, development, maintenance and support of ETL processes as
well asworking with internal/external teams to accommodate new and changing
featuresand business system requirements.
*Responsibilities:*
- Designs, develops and improves complex ETL structures to extract,
transform and load data from multiple data sources into data warehouse and
other databases based on business requirements.
- Ensures accurate, appropriate and effective use of data; including data
definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, and
operational guidelines.
- Performs metadata validation, reconciliation and appropriate error
handling in ETL processes.
- Augments application development support including updates to data
models, creation and maintenance of data access code (typically stored
procedures), and optimization of existing SQL.
- Reviews database design and integration of systems and makes
recommendations for enhancements or improvements.
- Monitors ETL process activity and utilization, with particular
strengths in performance tuning highly transactional data integration
package in both the development and production environments including
remotely located servers.
- Troubleshoots data issues, validates result sets, recommends and
implements process improvements.
- Works with end-users to help identify issues and to refine
requirements.
- Has excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal
skills, is a proficient problem solver, has the ability to acquire new
skills quickly and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for production systems.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*
· Bachelorof Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
· 3+years experience in design and development of complex near-real
time and batchETL processes.
· 3+years experience with SSIS.
· 1+years experience with SSRS / SSAS.
· Deepunderstanding of database design and modeling principals.
· Extensiveexperience working with data warehousing concepts,
terminology andarchitecture.
· Knowledgeof data profiling and cleansing techniques.
· Highlyproficient in Transact SQL, stored procedures, query
execution plans, etc.
· Abilityto proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live ETL
process issues.
· Experiencerunning and supporting complex, high volume BI
environments with 1 TB+ of dataand multiple metadata sources.
· Experienceworking in agile environment including creating of
automated build, testing,integration and data refresh processes.
· Knowledgeof various data warehouse support solutions and software.
