From Prodigy Software Group Inc I’m looking for a consultant for the given position; if you are interested and available, send me updated word copy of your resume with the given information *Requirement:* Title: *SAP BASIS Consultant* Location Washington DC, Duration: 6+ Months Client: Amtrak *Objective:* Provide technical support and administration of SAP products and add-on software including ECC 6.0, EP, BI, NetWeaver 7.0, Solution Manager, SAP Plug-ins/Add-on's, etc. This will include installing and maintaining software including upgrades, applying kernel patches, OSS Notes, and Support Packages as well as the responsibility for system troubleshooting, problem solving, capacity planning, tuning and application server load balancing, as well as day-to-day monitoring and administration of SAP systems. They will be part of a team supporting SAP ERP 2005. *Specific requirements:* · Day to day management and support of Amtrak’s SAP Sandbox, Development, Quality and Production environments, including, but not limited to (Explain and provide details of how you will accomplish each task outlined below): 1.1 SAP System Monitoring (Logs, traces, locks, users, processes etc). 1.2 SAP Performance Tuning. 1.3 Kernel Upgrades and Kernel Patch management. 1.4 Transport Management System administration. 1.5 Implementation and maintenance of SAP security. 1.6 Provide off-hour on-call support as a member of on-call rotation team. 1.7 Provide knowledge transfer to junior members of the NetWeaver support staff. 1.8 Manage batch processes, disk space utilization, table size, memory usage, system logs and other system components for maximum uptime and performance. · Manage and improve business processes and procedures. Explain and provide details of how you will accomplish each task outlined below. 2.1 Give clear and concise feedback to team lead and Managers. 2.2 Use of tactical and strategic planning and execution to accomplish day-to-day as well as projects and initiatives. · Maintain and update technical documentation.
