* * *Job Title : Reporting Lead* *Location : Hoffman Estates, IL* *Duration :** 26 weeks* *Rate : DOE* * * *Job Description:* Project Overview: Sears Holdings is looking to covert its project, program and portfolio management application to a new vendor application. The project will involve the conversion of over 300 reports from an old application using COGNOS to the WorkLenz Report Designer, which utilizes the Business Intelligence Reporting Tool (BIRT). The project will enable Sears Holdings to advance the maturity of program/portfolio management and strategic planning disciplines which will facilitate increased returns across all 33 business units of a $50B Fortune 50 company. We seek an experienced lead report writer that will be responsible to facilitate conversion efforts as well as design, convert, code and test reports/dashboards within the WorkLenz Report Designer. The candidate will supplement Sears Holdings and Métier resources during the implementation with the possibility of becoming a full time employee after the implementation to manage the reporting team. Required Skills / Experience: · Experience with SQL · Experience with relational databases · Experience with JavaScript · Experience with Actuate Business Intelligence Reporting Tool or similar reporting tool · Experience with project and/or portfolio management tools preferred · Experience in creating reports for Program, Project, Financial and Portfolio Management. · Have a good balance between functional design and technical delivery. · Should have excellent analytical and communication skills to interact with users to ensure that requirements are understood. · Should be able to demonstrate report functionality to users as well as lead quality assurance and User Acceptance Tests. · Experience with executive dashboard design and self service tools. · Must be highly skilled and experienced with all graphical elements of the reporting tool as well as layered reporting with drill down capabilities. · Will need to be able to create/modify associated parameter screens, modify existing reports and create new reports. · Needs to be fluent in developing complex reports including joins, repeater tables, master/detail relationships and conditional formatting over varying time periods. · Must be able to learn the environment, design, develop and test quickly. · Optimize report performance · Experience in working with Fiscal Calendars based on week a plus. · Time tracking and resource capacity report experience a plus. · Knowledge of the Métier WorkLenz PPM tool a plus. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or General Management.
