BUSINESS SYSTEMS MANAGER TORONTO, ON
TAX TERM: FULL TIME/ PERMANENT POSITION SALARY: 90K TO 100K Position will provide support to business management in addressing complex financial and business issues, conducting feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis, assessing risk, presenting recommendations to management and implementing solutions. ● Identification and implementation of technology to meet business needs ● Consensus building with internal & external customers on system requirements, designs and deliverables ● Presentations to committees, executive management and Board of Directors to gain approvals for initiatives ● Ensure that high quality business systems are delivered on time and on budget. ● Responsible, through subordinates for carrying out the development and implementation of all business systems projects. This encompasses project planning and budget preparation, formal status reporting, budget and schedule problem analysis and resolution. This position is fully responsible for the success of the projects undertaken. ● Ensure the effective installation of business solutions through the preparation of systems documentation and user operating procedures, training of user personnel and recommendation of organizational, work flow, business method and process changes to resolve problems. ● Ensure the continued effectiveness of installed financial and business solutions through the evaluation, recommendation, and installation of optimum hardware and software tools. ● Lead facilitation of process mapping and requirements gathering activities on initiatives ● Assess desired business process enhancements and document business system functionality requirements. ● Collaborate with technical development staff to ensure business requirements are adequately translated into technical requirements. ● Influencing strategic direction of operations through the development and review of critical business analysis. ● Identifying issues and developing creative solutions. Ensuring proper documentation is completed and distributed in a timely manner to communicate status, resolution and impact to business partners or project team regarding solutions identified. ● Conducting feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis and workflow analysis Mentoring members of the business analysis team to improve requirement gathering process and documentation Qualifications: 8+ years of progressive business analysis experience supporting large size projects ● Comprehensive knowledge of the clients' business operations and issues, along with a strong understanding of the company's various businesses and an awareness of current issues. ● Strong understanding of applications within the division. ● Superior analytical and diagnostic skills. Extensive knowledge and understanding of process design, analytical and productivity improvement methodologies. ● Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to generate original ideas to support company initiatives. Superior strength in evaluating feasibility or practicality of ideas and options, assess risks and trade-offs and, make informed and timely decisions. ● Highly developed understanding and experience with project management methodologies.
