* * *Job Title : **Hyperion Planning Technical Consultant* *Location : Detroit, MI* *Duration :** 6 Months * *Rate : DOE* * * *Job Description:* *Hyperion Planning Technical Consultant Job Description:* As a Hyperion Planning Technical Consultant you will be assisting Client finalized the implementation of Hyperion Planning and providing ongoing support, with responsibilities including: definition of requirements (including current state analysis), architecting a solution with the Hyperion Planning software, implementation of reporting and planning processes, change management, and training of Client staff for successful support of Hyperion Planning version 11.1. This candidate should have proven experience creating reports using the Financial Reporting Studio and creating ad-hoc reporting in Smartview toolset. *Requirements: *• * A minimum 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in direct, hands-on design and implementation of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Performance Reporting solutions for large companies (or Big 4 consulting experience within this solution area).* • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in advanced technical expertise with Hyperion Planning and Essbase. This will include proven experience utilizing/managing Essbase and creating reports using Smartview. • A minimum of 5+ years developing Business Rules and creating other complex calculations used in workforce calculations and income statement calculations • A minimum of 2+ years experience using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to integrate other systems with Hyperion Planning. Ability to schedule integrations to run off hours. • Experience in integration of Hyperion with PeopleSoft Financials (version 8.8 and 9.1) and PeopleSoft HCM (version 8.9) experience would be preferred • Excellent Oral and written communication and the ability to work with IT team members as well as finance team members is required. • Demonstrated ability to prepare specifications and reports, deliver oral presentations, and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms. • Previous experience in full lifecycle implementations of new planning processes using a formal implementation methodology and implementing Hyperion Planning Plus (experience with Planning System 11 preferred). • Demonstrable success in requirement analysis, functional and technical specification development, data extraction logic, conducting tests, and troubleshooting issues. • Ability to perform complex analysis, consulting, and providing recommendations to the project team. • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, business processes, cross business unit initiatives, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best practices of quality management.
