*Title: Oracle Apps DBA (1-2 Years exp as oracle Apps DBA)* *Location: Iowa City IA.* *Duration: 6 + months.* *Minimum Requirements* 7+ years experience in database development and administration *T**hey are looking for someone to work mainly in schema level administration, not system level.* Responsibilities: The DBA is responsible for design, development, implementation and administration of database architecture and schemas that support business objectives. Duties include: Perform creation of database objects such as stored procedures, triggers, packages, tuning, database administration, troubleshooting required of Oracle database environments. Support multiple system environments for development, testing and production releases. Perform logical design and physical implementation of data services layer. Proactively diagnose and resolve problems affecting database performance. Proactively tune database systems to meet business SLAs. Follow our specific software release processes. Perform system builds and comply with release management, change management and quality assurance standards. Understand database infrastructure, backup and recovery strategies. Adhere to our standards and quality control procedures. Identify and implement process improvements in various database aspects. Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required. Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security. Must have the ability and willingness to be on-call for live coverage and to cover live weekend events. This person will work with a cross-section of internal IT organizations, including other DBA's, systems analysts and architects, developers and the management team.
