Description: - eCommerce Senior Test Lead for Agile/Phased WWW Project/Enhancements teams - Quality or Test Analyst - Seeking a professional senior test lead with at least 5+ years experience in the field of functional testing, test team management and process improvement to become a key member of a program team providing oversight for adherence to Quality Center usage standards, QA & production defect analysis, regression suite management and provide support for a number of delivery teams. - This person should have skills in process analysis and improvement and should ideally be well versed in compliance with Client Quality Services standards and practices. - Great communication and people skills are critical to this role. - This is an exciting opportunity within the eCommerce organization of Client that is leading the marketing and sales infrastructure supporting client website. - The senior test lead will work closely with the project managers, test leads, developers, BSAs, backlog owners, and management to plan quality into the products created. - While this is expected to be an oversight role, this person should also be able to help when necessary to debug and verify fixes before the releases, provide estimates for project scheduling and backlog planning, execute tests, report test status, automate existing and new suites, and share test processes and implementation knowledge within and outside the team. Responsibilities and expectation of this role will include: - Review and monitor usage of Quality Center and the Test Coordination Center to ensure compliance with QS standards - Working in partnership with the delivery team test leads and management to provide technical leadership and guidance to team members and promoting good testing practices, review and conduct the analysis for improvements to existing test cases and strategies - Provide recommendations and implement improvements on test case design, test data setup, and test automation approaches. - Analyze test results to ensure that requirements have been met and working functionality has not broken. - Report and manage defects using Quality Center - Collaboration with similar teams across the organization. - Partner with test leads and peers in other teams for cross functional and integration testing where appropriate - Coordinate and improve upon risk mitigation strategies between internal and externally developed efforts including building upon new functionality and regression strategies already implemented for 3rd party work. - Working with project and release management teams to function proactively in planning tasks back from planned release dates to reduce surprises. Required Skills: - Must possess and have demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communications skills. - Excellent facilitation, relationship, and problem solving skills. - Excellent team work, organizational and collaboration skills. - These skills are crucial to the agile and phased software development process - Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle, project management methodologies and techniques, software testing methodologies, and process improvement - Must be effective at managing multiple concurrent activities and have demonstrated ability to deliver results with minimal supervision or direction. - 5+ years experience in testing, test planning, or test automation - Solid understanding of and experience in the full software development lifecycle - Hands-on test planning, test creation and execution experience - Experience with web technologies - Ability to influence and negotiate across project teams and customer LOBs - Strong process management and process improvement skills - Experience and proficiency with the following tools/technologies: - HP/Mercury Quick Test Pro 10.0, preferably with VB Scripting experience - HP/Mercury Quality Center 10.0 - BS in Systems Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience. Preferred Skills: - Experience working on an agile (non waterfall or phased) project team in a testing, development or analyst capacity. - This includes but is not limited to SCRUM, Extreme Programming (XP), Crystal Methodologies, Adaptive Software Development, Feature-Driven Development, and Dynamic Systems Development Methodology - Ability to manage rapid change in a fast paced environment - Experience of working in a diverse and challenging environment - Ability to make information based decisions (includes the ability to make decisions based upon little information and to deal effectively with ambiguity) - Ability to produce documentation to in-house quality standards - Excellent time management skills - Confident meeting facilitator - Basic project management skills - Experience with performance testing and the coordination of these activities - CTSE - Certified Software Tester - Familiarity with Content Management Systems - Experience with web strategy and design standards - Experience with PHP and Web Logic platforms - Past experience working for Quality Services at Client Please send your updated resume to [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
