SQL Server developer with responsibilities for design, development and testing. T-SQL programming and SSIS ETL development. Technical Responsibilities: Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards Design of physical data model. Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) T-SQL code on an SQL Server 2008 database, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications Hands on experience in working in Unix/Linux operating systems. Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards Performance Tuning: Tuning poor performing code to ensure acceptable application performance Quality Assurance: Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback Mentoring any less experienced members of the team – or those new to the technology.
