*Location: *Greenwood Village, CO (Need only Locals) Installs, configures, and maintains UNIX operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX related problems on servers. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Responsibilities: · Strong Application Support / troubleshooting skills with customized applications are required. · Strong scripting skills with Perl and Korn shell is required. · An understanding of JVM, MBeans, JAVA, and experience with distributing processing in a multi-tier environment. · Experience with Apache and JBOSS HTTP servers. · Familiarity of Open Source tools and solutions. · TSM experience. · Strong understanding of web application solutions and servers. · Monitor, report, and resolve hardware/software errors with vendors and customers. · Maintain systems security and integrity concerning data and computing resources to comply with company standards · Installs, tests, tunes, maintains, designs and documents supporting systems, utility programs, monitoring tools, etc. · Participate in the design of new and existing systems utilizing Solaris and Linux in a web-based computing environment. · Experience setting up and configuring UNIX and Linux networking and diagnosing TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, SSH, and DNS related issues with performance, connectivity, etc. · Local Candidates only · Good communication skills, both written and oral to communicate effectively with team, management, other departmental representatives; contractors, consultants, vendors and external customers Education Minimum 4-year degree.
