Job Title: Lead Teradata DBA Location: Boca Raton Florida Length: 6+ months Job Description: * Serves as an expert consultant to applications developers to provide expertise on database capabilities and constraints * Supports application development teams by recognizing and evaluating database issues and implementing solutions. * Performs data modeling; develops physical designs that demonstrate trade-offs between logical design and system performance * Creates logical and physical database designs * Establishes security and replication procedures * Demonstrates expert understanding of database performance tuning, data backup, recovery and security processes/ procedures Must haves: Bachelors' degree in related field or equivalent training and experience; Graduate degree preferred * Approximately 8-12 years experience in related field * 5+ years Teradata DBA (V2R6/TD12/TD13) experience, in a production environment required * Participates in 24x7 on-call support rotation * Database Administration and System Monitoring - Comprehensive and practical knowledge of the following: * Extensive experience with system and application troubleshooting, upgrades, workload management, performance tuning, recovery, and capacity planning of the Teradata Database 12/13 in a MP-RAS/Linux environment * Support and implementation of tools and utilities such as Fastload, FastExport, Multiload, TPump, Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT), Data Mover, Viewpoint, Arcmain including Cluster archives * Serve as an expert consultant to application developers to provide expertise on SQL, Macros, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and AJIs/JIs * Strong knowledge of Teradata database administration best practices required * Interface with the latest BIDW technologies such as Cognos, SAS, DataStage * Fundamental knowledge of operating systems and system development * Communication/Personal - Strong demonstration of the following: * Ability to multi-task under minimum supervision * Detail-oriented and good follow-up skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with project management and planning experience * Capable to interface closely with internal/external customers and advice on database Please let me know your interest in the following positions and kindly send me the updated Resume along with following details which are mandatory for submission. 1) Full Name: 2) Availability: 3) Contact number: 4) Current Location: 5) Visa Status: 6) Rate & Employer details: Even if you are not interested at this time, can you please send us your current resume, so that we can contact you if we get a requirement that fits your skill set The referral of your friends and colleagues are appreciated.
