*Business Systems Analyst – Higher Education*



Our Software Product Development Team is recruiting Business Analysts
experienced with the Higher Education industry to help drive and grow our
product. We are looking for someone with a passion for the Higher Education
industry who has worked across different functional areas of a school. This
team operates in a high-energy and fast-paced environment.



*PROJECT RELATED COMPETENCIES*

Analysis and Solution Definition

·         Work with internal and/or external customers to review, analyze
and evaluate business systems.

·         Define software requirements to meet the needs of our clients and
their constituents.

·         Coordinate Requirements Gathering and Analysis sessions

·         Document Requirements, prepare use cases, assist with design
decisions, produce process flows, and document functional specifications.

·         Assists in the collection and consolidation of required
information and data.

·         Provided evaluation and proposed solution documents to assist
other team members with solution

Technical Recommendation and Testing

·          Provide User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure high-quality
software deliverables

·         Provides recommendations for test plans

·         Reviews and provides feedback for all test results.

·         Retests as necessary.

Project Execution

·         Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles,
project goals, and timelines.

·         Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately
applies comments/feedback.

·         Adheres to SDLC.

·         Accurately employs our methodology and documentation tools.

·         Proactively carries out project support /administrative functions.

·         Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and
manages time effectively

Technical Understanding and Qualifications

·         Understands basic Internet and client/server architectures.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

·         Knowledge of database concepts and Relational Database Systems
(Microsoft SQL Server, Access, or Oracle)

·         Bachelor Degree, preferably in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering,
Accounting or related.

·         Higher Education industry experience – working across different
functional areas of a school.

·         Experience with problem or solution analysis, including
requirements techniques like UML

·         Strong modeling skills, including business, process, requirements,
applications, software, data, and technology

·         Experience with SDLCs, preferably with non-waterfall industry
methodologies like Rational Unified Process (RUP), SCRUM, and other agile
processes

·         Proposes solutions to problems and considers timeliness,
effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs.

·         Generates innovative solutions by approaching problems with
curiosity and open mindedness, using existing information to its fullest
