The technical lead is responsible for technical design and development of
PeopleSoft Financials and HR applications using PeopleTools technologies.
Provides team technical supervision and drives project/service delivery. He
or she will also perform as technical lead on software development projects
with responsibility for overall delivery of software components; document
design decisions, adhere to existing process guidelines, adhere to audit
guidelines, oversees development of software components, support Quality
Services during testing, and conduct oversight during implementation into
production.
Responsibilities:
• The candidate will take ownership of technical design and development
activities for PeopleSoft Financials and HR implementation projects,
enhancements, and third level support.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing high level design and
detail design activities for PeopleSoft solutions. The candidate will also
monitor the quality and completeness of design/development work performed by
outsourced partners, contractors, and consultants.
• The candidate will work closely with Global Finance and HR IT team
members, other Capital One IT organizations, and vendors/outsource partners
to implement and support PeopleSoft Financials and HR solutions.
• The ability to understand Global Finance and HR business needs and
translate them into effective, cost efficient system solutions and
enhancements • Taking umbrella ownership/responsibility for IT delivery and
working productively with internal IT groups to deliver value-add,
cost-effective IT services.
• Ability to resolve complex technical issues and comfortable working in
white space situations.
