Job Title: Microsoft BI Technical Lead

Client currently seeks a Microsoft BI Technical Lead Position to join
our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications:
•       Facilitate or oversee the initial requirements and interviewing
process which is part of the initial phase of a BI project,
including : organizing and/or facilitating the requirements sessions,
defining, prioritizing and revising the project scope, publishing the
captured requirements, and overseeing requirements walkthroughs,
facilitating user acceptance and sign off on the final requirements.
•       Define the high level ETL (Extract, Transfer and Load) architecture
required for the project.
•       Design the data model of the different data stores required for the
project, including the staging and data mart environment.
•       Create the multidimensional data model for both the data mart and
the OLAP cubes required for the solution. Apply common design patterns
and best practices when applicable to the solution.
•       Define the security architecture of the system, based upon the
captured security requirements.
•       Define the reporting architecture for the application, including
both the pre-build reports and the self-service reporting
architecture.
•       Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team
members
•       Drive the implementation of the BI project work which includes:
Working with project teams to provide input and assistance in the
design, development, execution and implementation of components into
the BI environment, Working with business partner to manage
expectations and set priorities/execution sequence for enhancements
and support, Providing single point for management of components to be
introduced into the BI environment, Utilizing the different components
in the Microsoft BI stack for the implementation of the BI system,
providing insight on how to integrate the user-interface components of
a BI Solution into the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007
and 2010 environments, utilizing a SCRUM and Agile-based approach to
development, which defines the usage of short, time-boxed sprints to
deliver frequent builds which can be tested by the stakeholders.
•       Ensures the adherence to quality standards and procedures.
•       Reviews modules for quality assurance and ensures compliance with
application architecture standards.
•       May assist in defining development guidelines and standards to be
utilized in software development/ integration.
•       Provide technical leadership on meta data standards for the data
warehouse
