Specifically, the expection for the chosen Java Developer is to have in-depth experience with several technologies, most importantly, Java. A skilled Java developer should be able to implement functionality of average to high complexity with limited guidance, and be able to work with a predefined architecture and provide input to improving the architecture. e-Tech 's application development efforts are largely without "off-the-shelf" solutions. As an example, we have workflow built into many of our tools, but we do not currently have a single "workflow" product. Our work efforts are aimed at building re-usable components, but that does not necessarily mean we have purchased canned tools. E-Tech currently utilizes Crystal Reports 10, Perl CGI, Apache and IIS web servers, JBoss application server, Java/Spring/Hibernate web application framework and Oracle databases. The enterprise data model is managed using ERWin, our network with SMS. That is not to say we would not consider a specific tool, but only if it works within our current development environment.
