Candidate will be asked to travel to and from locations however from time to time Client has partnered with one of the world's largest engineering firms who is looking for a SharePoint Architect to join their team as a contractor to hire. The initial contract is 6 months. The job location can be in Edison, NY or New York, NY. Client is looking for expertise in the areas of 2007 to 2010 migration support or their need for a solid resource to design and integrate redundancy in the Sharepoint 2010 environment. They are really looking for an architect level resource. They are looking for a Sharepoint 2010 Architect who has lots of experience in 2007 to 2010 migrations and the advanced redundancy functionality ( designing, architecting, implementing ) in 2010. The SharePoint Architect will be responsible for planning, design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the enterprise-wide Windows SharePoint Server environments. The ideal candidate is a well-developed technical resource capable of handling moderately complex assignments. Required Skills: 3 years of hands-on SharePoint architecture & administration, Any experience with 201 is a plus Must understand the technologies typically included in SharePoint farms: Web front ends, Index server, Network Load Balancing, database cluster.
