We have a very urgent requirement for “*Java Developer" in Chicago, IL for 6 Months+. *Please review the job requirements and provide the below requested details along with your resume. *Position: Java Developer Location: Chicago, IL* *Duration: 6 Months* *Rate : Negotiable* *• Prior work experience with any search engine like Endeca or Solr.* *Job Description: *** This role is responsible for the design and implementation of internet based service and web based solutions to enable customers to interface with the client, either via its eCommerce site, or via deeper integration with the customers procurement systems (eProcurement). • Performs detailed analysis/design of functional and non-functional requirements and translates them to software solutions in the clients commerce environments. • Works in a team environment and assigns high value to mentoring others. • Participates in task level estimating of work assigned during the project planning stages. • Conducts and participates in code reviews that may span multiple projects. • Evaluates new technology, both proprietary and open source, for use in the client eBusiness environment in conjunction with infrastructure, architecture and business teams. • Develop applications for client eBusiness internet environment from functional specifications, design documents, or user stories and use cases. • Develops code, unit tests, and integration test procedures for projects assigned to. • Executes test procedures on Development Integration platform prior to releasing software to QA platform. • Provides application support and training to developers, testing (both automated and manual) and production support personnel. • Manages all source branching and synchronization of code between branches. • Manages the creation of deployment packages during the automated build process (maintenance of build scripts, etc). • Assist infrastructure team with troubleshooting production issues related to application code or software applications used to run the site. • Ensure that all code developed adheres to technical standards • Perform peer review of others code to ensure compliance to security / code standards. • Support production deployments by participating as part of the deployment team during go live. • Identifies process/technical barriers and escalates appropriately. • Develops automated unit tests that will be run during the automated build process. *Requirements : * • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, related area or equivalent experience. • 7 years of Java programming experience required. Prior experience with a large eCommerce application preferred. *• Prior work experience with any search engine like Endeca or Solr.* • Experience with HTML, Javascript, XML, XSLT and other internet standard technologies and protocols. • Experience in all phases of structured development life cycle (SDLC). • Must be proficient in both Windows and Unix environments. • Proficient in the use of source control software such as Subversion including branching and merging procedures.
