BA/Infrastructure Loc: PA Dur: 1 year Shire IT is developing an IT Corporate Infrastructure Strategy. A cross functional team has been pulled together and are working to create the strategy. The purpose of the IT Corporate infrastructure strategy is to articulate a plan to advance Shire’s IT infrastructure to meet current and future needs of the business. This will be accomplished through the stabilization of the current infrastructure and driving ongoing sustainability via ongoing technology investments, implementation of best practices, and continued innovation. While developing the strategy, the existing IT employees are also balancing many other day to day priorities. Please note that in addition to submitting a candidate’s resume, Shire would also like to a sample of work completed in majority by the candidate. Shire requires the candidate to create professional materials that will represent the whole of IT. The candidate must be able to digest information to effectively communicate in the PowerPoint (2003) medium. The candidate must also have experience working in a global environment. There are Shire IT employees participating from various locations. The candidate must be able to facilitate work with those remote teams. Responsibilities - Updates, changes and maintenance of the IT Strategy sharepoint site (Sharepoint 2007) - Collect, digest and create presentation material from the various sources including, but not limited to strategy meetings, one off conversations, Yammer posts, emails, etc. - Collaborate with the IT Projects team to create the top-down and bottom-up roadmap – Shire will drive the knowledge capital while contract resource will create the appropriate documentation - Structure and execute analyses to support actionable deliverables - Carry out research if needed - Develop reports, newsletters, presentations and other outputs to communicate findings Experience developing similar IT strategies for other companies is a plus.
