SAS Administrator will provide support for a SAS Unix server application environment. 2. The candidate will be an experienced SAS administrator with skills for a SAS 9.2.x environment. 3. This person will also participate in the production software deployments, upgrades, capacity planning, backup strategies, as well as software/hardware integration planning. 4. The person will coordinate troubleshooting and make recommendations for the configuration of the SAS application. *Responsibilities: * 1. Research best practices and provide pre- and post-implementation documentation. 2. Performance tuning of both Server and Workstations. 14. Implementation of upgrades and patches to both Server and Workstations. 15. Perform code reviews to ensure proper design, standard, content and functionality. 16. Monitoring of servers, databases and workstations to ensure availability and efficiency. 17. Database capacity and utilization planning. 18. Archiving and back-up planning. 19. Documentation of SAS server applications, workstation application and security policies in force. 20. Disaster recovery planning. 21. Available to provide 24 X7 support as required. *Job Requirements: * 1. 4 year degree (In Information Technology related field preferred) or equivalent work experience. 2. 2-4 years System administration experience. 3. Min. 5 years database experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4. Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve problems. 5. Broad knowledge of database administration concepts, practices and procedure on AIX/Unix platform. 6. SAS Base Version 9.2.x, Enterprise Guide 7. Additional knowledge of Oracle/Teradata database will be an added advantage. 8.
