Job Title :Senior QA Analyst. Location:Rochester, NY Duration: 6+ months contract Job Description: QA analyst is responsible for the development and execution of test cases needed to assess the conformance of an application to the specified requirements. The successful candidate should be trained in a variety of test methodology and techniques to enable them to develop the test cases needed to ensure both comprehensive and effective test coverage. In addition to general testing skills, Meridian is looking for a candidate who could move into a lead position and assume responsibility for planning and coordination of the test effort. Lead QA analysts work cross functional teams to resolve issues and may recommend quality related improvements to the development process. QA Leads should be trained in project management, test estimation, and test methodology. Key skills and daily responsibilities Understands complex test methodologies and quality assurance processes Creates test cases and scripts Mentors lower level QA Analysts. Experience reporting and managing test defects to resolution Generating defect reports Generating test status reports Creates and manages test plan Generates test summary reports Advanced level of SQL experience, ability to create complex SQL queries Assist with the creation of test plans Certification (details TBD) 10+ years testing and quality assurance experience 2+ years of experience directing and/or managing teams of testers Ability to perform technical interviews Primary Technical / Business Skills: A general background in one the health insurance industry is considered highly desirable.
