Location: *Reston VA* Duration: 6 Months Skills: Responsible for orchestrating the environment builds. Tracks all environment requests throughout the organization. Provides LOE (level of effort estimates) to build each environment. Maintains and reviews the master build schedule with affected service lines to identify resource constraints. Identifies all tasks required for each environment and works closely with the service lines to ensure timely completion and with the Project Managers (PMs) to ensure that expectations are being met. Submits and tracks master ticket and all associated tickets with each build. Identifies opportunities for improvements to the build times or staff time required to complete builds. Expertise required in PlanView, Remedy, building Windows/Unix servers, PowerPoint and Excel. Expertise desired in building DB environments, middleware instances, storage, facilities and network. Experience as a PM is desirable as is PMP and/or ITIL certifications. Must be able understand engineering documents and determine the tasks, teams and time required to build new environments. Must be highly organized and able to work closely with technical staff, project managers and technical management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. This is not a configuration management position. This individual will NOT be hands on with the systems. Looking for someone who has actual experience of building servers (Unix and/or Windows) and has worked closely with other infrastructure teams such as Middleware, Database, Network and Storage. This is NOT a configuration management position. This individual will NOT be hands on with the systems but will be a build coordinator who will work closely with project managers, architects/engineers and the Infrastructure teams to receive environment build requests, create assignments for each team involved, track, report and conclude each environment and resolve any issues. Ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and will be able to work with minimal supervision within guidelines while delivering results. Experience as a project manager is desirable as is PMP and/or ITIL certifications. SharePoint development experience is highly desirable. Process improvement skills/experience will be a plus.
