* * *Title : SQL Server/SSIS ETL Senior Developer Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 4+ Months Contract The SSIS ETL Senior Developer will work on designing and developing complex ETL processes using Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS). The SSIS ETL Developer will work closely with our Architects and Business Intelligence Developers to design and performance tune the warehouse and analysis services OLAP cubes. Expert level ETL development with SSIS and advance level data warehouse dimensional design is required. SQL Server database skills – 7+ years working with relational databases, 5+ years as using MS SQL Server for data integration Strong knowledge data warehousing and ETL design skills Experience performing dimensional data modeling (star-schema) and data base design Excellent SQL skills along with performance tuning required DBA skills – ability to create, manage and performance tune SQL server database and all basic day to day operations like creating and managing schemas, manage server space etc. Knowledge of MDX is a major plus Knowledge of Oracle is a nice to have SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Skills: 4+ years Data warehouse ETL Development experience with SSIS including VLDBs ( very large data bases) Experience in creation and debugging of complex SSIS packages using MS Visual Studio IDE Must possess a solid understanding of data warehouse and data integration topics and how SSIS can be used to apply ETL best practices. Ability to act as a technical lead and mentor employees on SSIS development and dimensional design Should be able to manage Analysis Services Environment independently including design, development and data refresh of OLAP cubes. Soft Skills Good communication (speaking and writing) skills Needs to be able to self manage time working on multiple projects and work streams Client interaction during the course of development, implementation and support.
