Info and Current location ASAP Job Description : Siebel Developer Duration : 12month contract Location : Houston TX Job Summary: Seeking a Siebel V8 Developer/Integrator for our Siebel implementation used to support our growing Retail Energy Business. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The preferred candidate will have the ability perform ongoing development to our Siebel implementation using Siebel Tools. This candidate may also perform day-to-day operational support functions within Siebel, including client, server and application administration and must be able to communicate with end users to resolve issues. Person Specifications: Knowledge/Abilities: The candidate will need experience in creating technical specifications based on business requirements. Required Skills: 1. Strong knowledge in Siebel Architecture / Infrastructure Components / Modules and should have played the architect’s role for at least 4+ year. 2. Must have Expertise in Siebel Configuration/EAI/Web services/EIM/Business Services 3. Must be expert in creating complicated Integration Objects and Workflow Processes 4. Must have Expertise in creating fully functional EBCs so that Siebel works of multiple databases seamlessly 5. Must have experience in integrating Siebel with various other applications specifically Custom Dot Net Applications, Lodestar, etc 6. Ability to drive the solution by providing multiple approaches and finalize the most appropriate one with ample reasoning (out of the box vs custom solution) 7. Ability to anticipate bottlenecks / challenges upfront and mitigate them in the architecture/Design phase (like Siebel limitations/Performance issues etc) 8. Strong functional knowledge in the energy domain 9. Hands on Working experience - should be capable of developing quick prototypes to articulate the design / architecture 10. Hands on experience with few of the most common tools (shell scripting/ETL/Java etc) 11. Strong analytical/trouble shooting skills 12. Excellent communication skills Education/Experience: This position requires 7+ years of experience with various aspects of Siebel applications.
