Work Summary
The candidate filling this Lead Software Developer position will perform
the following tasks:
Under general direction, support the re-platforming of EXADEP into the IOPS
application
framework. His duties include program development using J2EE, Spring,
Hibernate, AWT to
JFC/Swing conversion, and SQL Server. Additionally he will interface with
the SBU, testing team,
end users in Asia, participate in project meetings, and provide technical
guidance to other team
members.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
· Perform in both server-side and client-side development
· Participate in design/architecture meetings.
· Apply industry standard analysis, architecture, and development
techniques to assist in
providing optimum solutions.
· System Development Efforts: design, coding, testing, debugging,
quality assurance review, and
appropriate documentation.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience: The ideal candidate must have 10 years of progressively
diverse analysis, development,
and testing experience using Java and Web technologies. The candidate must
demonstrate strong
problem solving ability, logic, and analytical skills, will work creatively
and independently to
accomplish project goals and maintain team spirit with a positive attitude.
Experience image
processing system design, deployment and operation is preferred. Knowledge
of Performance
testing Tool, such as SilkPerformer is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic Qualifications:
· 10 years of Server Technologies: Apache, JBoss
· 10 years of Java Technologies: J2EE, Core Java packages, Struts,
Spring, Hibernate, JDBC
· 10 years of WEB Technologies: XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript,
AJAX, and
cross-browser Development
Additional Preferred Skill Requirements:
Development Tools:
· Eclipse, Power Designer, TOAD/SQL Developer, SVN, ANT
· Database Technologies: Oracle, PL/SQL
· Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX/Linux
Education
A Bachelors degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an
equivalent combination of
education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can
be acquired is
necessary.
