Please send the resume at [email protected] DUTIES The Consultant shall perform all of the duties listed below: 1. Create, test, and implement of ISAB and Probation’s new consolidated and virtualized AIX hosting environment as designed by the lead OSS AIX system architect and act as lead AIX administrator support. 2. Test and implement ISAB’s and Probation’s complex queues and interfaces for data exchange with other justice applications and support. 3. Provide lead support for UNIX application development tools utilized by the ISAB and Probation applications. 4. Provide AIX technical consulting services and custom configurations for hosted ISAB and Probation applications. 5. Maintain and administer AIX server installations, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and 24 x 7 x 365 on-call after hours and weekend support. 6. Follow and enhance existing ISAB and Probation AIX server installation, configuration and management standards and procedures based on industry best practices. 7. Maintain and enhance ISAB’s and Probation’s AIX server disaster recovery solution. 8. Monitor and perform capacity planning for ISAB’s and Probation’s production and non-production environments. 9. Provide technical assistance to Database Administration (DBA) staff, Enterprise Storage Administration staff, application staff, and the customer. 10. Document all technical work and enhance existing documentation. 11. Mentor the staff in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX, providing knowledge transfer as a regular part of the day-to-day duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Consultant shall meet all of the following minimum qualifications: 1. Four (4) years’ experience within the last six (6) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and updating AIX 5L, 6L and 7L on IBM pSeries hardware. 2. Two (2) years’ experience within the last three (3) years configuring queues and interfaces on UNIX systems. 3. Two (2) years’ experience within the last three (3) years supporting application development tools on UNIX systems, such as Virtual Network Computing (VNC), concurrent Versions System (CVS), Eclipse, and xlC++. 4. Five (5) years’ experience within the last seven (7) years as a Unix systems administrator managing servers in an enterprise environment consisting of 100 o more servers. 5. Two (2) years’ experience within the last three (3) years implementing and administering PowerVM virtualization technologies (virtual I/O) on IBM System p servers. 6. Three (3) years’ experience within the last four (4) years maintaining Unix and/or Perl scripts used for the automation of system monitoring and maintenance procedures.
