*Job Title : Development/Application DBA * *Location : Des Moines, IA * *Durations: 18 Months CONTRACT* Description: Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's development databases. Consults with and provides guidance to application developers that directly produce connections to the database for the applications. Need to analyze trends and advise where corrections need to be within the applications. Expected to set up the database environments including table structures and how they will perform together. May be called on to perform Performance analysis. The development world is primarily single thread, however there is a RAC set up in development and the DBA should be able to determine whether an app should need to be tested against the RAC or not. Ability to perform and understand moderate PL/SQL and other scripting tools as needed. Must understand conceptual, logical and physical database design. Will participate in the development of data/ database architectures and management policies, procedures and standards 5+ years database design and development experience. They must have understanding of the Business side of the House...
