*Title:                Datastage Developer
**Location:**         Bloomington, MN
Duration:         6 Months +

Our client has an immediate need for two Datastage Developers to assist
with development which will support the re-write of a Self-Insured Billing
system (SIBS) so that the systems can handle new products. The SIBS system
is currently being rewritten to run off the daily claims operational data
store contained in the warehouse.  These roles will use Datastage version 8
to build data tables that will be sourced from our cache database*

*This position requires experience in IBM DataStage version 8 including
experience and understanding of the parallel stage.  Experience in Quality
Stage is also a plus. In addition, this role requires a strong analytic
ability as well as attention to detail and problem solving skills. An
exceptional ability to collaborate and advanced customer service talents
are also required.*

*Responsibilities**:** *

*1.     **Will join the FedACH development team, with focus on complex Java
EE high-volume transactional applications.  Work environment may include a
mix of agile and UP programming methodologies, collaborative work
environment, and iterative development with a high level of team
interaction.*

*2.     **Primary responsibility will be collaborative Java EE development
on our core ACH payment processing applications, including event-driven
transaction processing software.  Significant emphasis on development of
high performing, high-volume transaction processing code. *

*3.     **Develop software on WebSphere/Eclipse Java EE platform.*

*4.     **Works closely with the entire project community to interpret
business and technical requirements for enterprise information systems or
Java EE compliant applications. Communicates moderately complex technical
topics to non-technical audiences.*

*5.     **Proactive communication with team members and management is
essential as some key tasks may include issue identification and
resolution, status updating, analyzing and reporting on alternative design
solutions, etc.*

*6.     **Performs research activities with a focus on complex business
systems, automated systems development, enterprise information systems,
and/or project enhancements with Bank and System-wide impact. Identifies
and analyzes operational impacts of new projects, services, infrastructure,
enterprise information systems, and automated systems.  Addresses
moderately complex customer problems and/or issues as necessary.*

*7.     **Provides technical leadership.*

*8.     **Supports the manager with proposals for business system changes.
Provides input to the development and implementation of standards,
procedures, and safeguards.*

*9.     **Assists in coaching/mentoring more junior developers in the
development and implementation of technical solutions.*

*10.  **Responsible for estimating, tracking, and reporting status on tasks.

*Required Skills and Experience**:*

*The person selected will be part of a team developing software for our
Core Payment Processing applications and will have experience with
designing solutions crossing multiple platforms and technologies.  These
projects involve taking an existing project plan and requirements and
refining both through active communication with others on the team and
project management.  The person must have demonstrated excellent
application programming and testing skills, and superlative interpersonal
and communication skills - must be a team player.  The person should have
experience in developing high-volume transaction processing systems.
Specifically:*

*1.     **Require eight years of information technology experience to
include six years application development and testing experience in a
distributed environment with diverse technologies.*

*2.     **Require 5 years Java EE development experience.  Prefer WebSphere
development experience.*

*3.     **Require 4 years UNIX experience (Solaris and/or AIX).*

*4.     **Require 4 years object-oriented design experience and formal
training in object-oriented methodologies*

*5.     **Require 3 years development experience using Agile methodologies *

*6.     **Prefer experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Pair
Programming *

*7.     **Require 3 years Oracle development experience *

*8.     **Prefer experience with tuning SQL for Oracle*

*9.     **Require 1 year Maven, and SVN (Subversion) experience*

*10.  **Require 1 year experience with JMS/WebSphere MQ (P2P and pub/sub)*

*11.  **Require demonstrated experience building and implementing software
solutions and design patterns requiring complex technologies in an
enterprise environment requiring integration between the mainframe and
distributed platforms.  *

*12.  **Require experience resolving complex system problems in a team
setting, including evaluation of options to determine optimal solution. *

*13.  **Prefer high-volume transaction processing experience (5,000+
transactions / second).  Should have experience with tuning high-volume
applications for performance and instrumentation of code for tuning and
monitoring.*

*14.  **Require experience with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate*

*15.  **Prefer experience with frameworks such as Struts and Jasper.*

*16.  **Experience with frameworks such as Wicket is a plus.*

*17.  **Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to
work effectively as part of a team.*

*b.     **Communicates proactively in a project environment with colleagues
and management on a wide variety of project issues.  Key skills include
