*Location **: **Vienna, VA*** *Duration** : 6 Months+* * * *Job Description:* *TOP 6 SKILLS REQUIRED*** - Prior eCommerce requirements gathering experience analyzing & documenting requirements for large-scale (e.g. Fortune 500 or equivalent) projects. Expertise in functional decomposition such as page maps, traceability matrices, etc. - Experience with an enterprise class eCommerce platform such as ATG, IBM WebSphere Commerce, Escalate Retail, Sterling Commerce, DemandWare, Venda, BroadVision, Microsoft Commerce, etc. - Understanding of internationalization and localization complexities of enterprise eCommerce: content in multiple languages, country-specific product availability, tax & payment processing, etc. - Experience working with an offshore model and globally distributed team (some client staff are in Europe, many developers are in India). - Familiarity with Agile development processes and quickly writing effective stories that can be broken into meaningful tasks by developers. - Understanding of complex enterprise application integration including SAP, web services, queuing, and third-party hosted service providers. *This position's responsibilities also include:* - Independently initiate, facilitate and participate in fact-finding, green-field discussions, and implementation planning meetings. - Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences for our clients. - Work with business subject matter experts to define business requirements and design system changes to meet those requirements. - Produce Functional Specifications and use cases for team members based on business requirements. - Work with architects and project managers to develop implementation estimates and schedules based on your customer interactions. - Respond to end user concerns and requests for enhancements to meet business requirements. - Research, document and, when necessary, suggest corrective actions for solution deficiencies. - Conduct research and analysis of technical viability of requirements as well as related strategic feasibility studies for clients. - Travel to client sites as needed. *SKILLS REQUIRED* - Minimum of two years’ experience of hands-on involvement in eCommerce projects. - Minimum of five years’ experience in the Analyst role. - Ten years’ experience in IT or business, including experience with e-commerce, web application development, or other business solutions. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, CS, or related major. - Familiarity with a broad array of internet technologies and trends. - Ability to present technical and architecture alternatives to clients to meet business requirements. - Thorough understanding of business processes and mapping to automated workflows. - Demonstrated ability to successfully deal with ambiguous situations and develop a practical plan towards achieving clarity - while defining: functional behavior, business rules, data attributes, and interface interactions - Experience in problem resolution with IT systems and individuals. - Strong written, verbal, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills. *SKILLS DESIRED* - Experience with one or more of the following technologies: ATG Commerce (desired a will be using this platform), IBM WebSphere Commerce, Broad Vision, Escalate Retail / Blue Martini, Inters hop. - Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Oracle, SQL, SOA, RUP, and XML. - Knowledge of multiple vertical industries (retail, financial services, CPG, healthcare, etc.) a plus.
