AT LEAST SOMEONE WITHIN A FEW HOURS DRIVE OF CHICAGO WOULD BE GOOD**** *Description*: The Fixed Income IT team within UBS Global AM is looking for a senior developer with 7 - 10 years of experience who is committed to building world class software for the Global Fixed Income team. The Fixed Income Portfolio Managers and Traders we support are located in Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Singapore, Sydney and Zurich. This is an exciting time within the Fixed Income IT team as we are embarking on several large change initiatives, designed to change the user experiences with the Fixed Income platform. You will be part of a global development team with team members located in London and Chicago. We operate under Scrum using fast-paced short iterations delivering real value every 2 weeks. We are looking for a senior hands-on technologist who is passionate about technology, Fixed Income data and data integration development to create best in class enterprise level solutions. All team members are part of a rotating support structure to handle front-end and data question which the Production Services team does not have knowledge to address. Approximately 10 – 20% of time is spent on support, audit and other continuous improvement type of tasks. *Candidate Profile/ Responsibilities* • Must have proven track record in successfully building, releasing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems in a complex technology environment – preferably within a major Global Asset Manager or Investment Banking Group • Experience working in an agile environment with your SCRUM team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries • Write high quality code, using test-driven development (TDD) practices • Analytical and questioning mind. Able to challenge the status quo on a large scale and suggest viable alternative approaches. • Excellent communication skills for cross group collaboration, be able to discover solutions to problems and objectively defend them, and propose design alternatives and articulate pros and cons. • High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility. *Minimum Qualifications* • 5+ years of analyzing data models and developing ETL mappings (OLTP, File feeds, XML feeds) • 5+ years of experience in development for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL- related activities. • Experience in design, requirements gathering, documentation, and testing of large-scale processes that ingest and extract data from warehouse and transactional database systems • Experience designing, writing and debugging custom C# and/or SSIS packages used to handle input and output flat-file feeds, data transformations, and data loads into transactional and operational databases • Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills Basic Knowledge in MS-SQL Server 2008 DB and • 3+ years of development experience in .NET using C#, with experience in C# 4.0/4.5 being highly desirable • Ability to troubleshoot ETL processes failures or warnings and provide technical support for all ETL- Datastage related issues. • Working knowledge of DB concepts such as tables, indexes, locks and views • Ability to debug, trace and fixing issues in SSIS/DTS packages and Stored Procedures • Experience working with large databases and high-volume batch data loading operations • Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM, XP, Kanban) environment/team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries *Preference given to candidates with the following experience* • Database Design • SCRUM Master certification • Experience with Fixed Income applications and/or trade order management systems being highly desirable • Test Driven Development (TDD) using NUnit or equivalent • Multi threading, parallel programming • SubVersion/TortiseSVN/Ankh • Messaging (TIBCO or MQ) • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) *Education* A four year Bachelor’s Degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred or commensurate relevant work experience Thanks and Regards Sandeep Talent Acquisition Team *Glomark International LLC *Direct: 908-838-4407 Fax: 908-688-8831 Email: sand...@glomark-llc.com G-Talk:sandeepglomark YM: mutyala.hemasandeep Notice of Confidentiality: The information contained herein is intended only for the confidential use of the recipient.
