The Data Conversion Analyst/Developer is assigned to large projects and
works closely with the Client, Business Analysts, Developers, and other
technical resources and is responsible for all data analysis and work
needed to migrate extracted business data from legacy system(s) to a new
customized solution for our clients. The data conversion analyst is
responsible for leading data conversion sessions with the client as needed
and performing analysis that include the following: prepare data
mapping/load order documents, recommend data cleansing strategies, and
develop conversion output in the form of success / failure statistics for
further analysis. The data conversion analyst is responsible for writing
import routines based upon the data mappings, product ad-hoc inquiries and
reports


*Job Requirements:* *Qualifications:*
•Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Information Technology
•3-7 years experience with data conversion/ migration and database design
understanding
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to use
them
•Excellent planning and coordination abilities
•Demonstrated teamwork skills and leadership initiative

*Required Experience:*
•Strong SQL PL/SQL (scripting and creating mid to complex queries).
Hands-on experience with packages, functions, procedures and other objects
and should be able to build them from scratch.
Strong Data Design and Mapping experience.
•ETL/Data Migration/Data conversion work experience.
•Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze an application, database &
tables relationships without ERD or documentation provided for application
& data business rules validations which are used in legacy data
migration/conversions processes.
•SQL Server and Oracle skills required.
•Ability to work with minimal supervision as the team handles different
data migration/conversion projects simultaneously
•Ability to work alone in different projects and should resolve data issues
immediately.
•Ability to work on weekends (Saturday and Sunday work) during go
live/production data conversion/migration.
•Multi tasking, hardworking and with initiative on tasks

*Major Responsibilities:*
•Analyze data and provide feedback/solutions.
•Data Design/Map from source to conversion target
•Perform analysis of data sources and data distribution processes to ensure
data integrity, completeness and accuracy. Identify implementation of data
improvement opportunities.
•Develop appropriate conversion processes, suggest appropriate content
fields and design, implement the conversion processes and analyze to
quickly and accurately produce the requested data structures.
•Deliver assigned tasks on-time and on-budget
•Effectively communicate with the Team leader on the management of
technical issues, recommendations and risks
•Should be self-motivated worker with great work ethics
•Attention to details is a necessary quality for this job position
•Ability to communicate ideas and questions is very important
