Developer has in depth knowledge in at least 2 technical areas of SAP development tools with a firm understanding of SAP architecture. The BW Developer is involved in all phases of a life cycle implementation, including development of specifications, prototypes, design, configuration, testing, go-live, user training and post production support. The SAP BW Developer works closely with our functional configuration consultants to ensure accuracy and completeness of functional requirements creates technical specifications and the development of programs according to specifications. The BW Developer is responsible for technical component delivery as well as full integration testing and assumes responsibility for testing the application code from a technical perspective to verify that programs follow standards and meets technical specifications. The BW developer will actively participate in work groups and work sessions with functional and technical consultants and lead groups and work sessions with functional and technical consultants when required.* * * *Knowledge* * * *Ideal candidates will have working in SAP BW development and experience working on at least 1 full software lifecycle developments. * *The consultant should have demonstrable skills of interfacing with customers and gathering requirements as necessary. The candidate needs to have depth and breadth in their core SAP expertise and experience in integration with an ERP environment. Good writing and documentation skills are required. In addition, the candidate will have background with interfaces, SAP bolt-ons and components external to SAP, batch networking and following through with SAP Notes and Messages.* * * *Skills* * * *Must have:* * * *SAP Core Experience in BW 7.0 - at least 2 life cycles* *Build and enhance BW objects such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transformations, Update Rules, DSO, Extractors, Infosets, Aggregates, Process Chains, DTPs, User Exits, BADI.* *Business Explorer Suite (Required) (BEx Query Designer, BEx, Web Analyzer, BEx Broadcaster, Report Designer, BW Web Reporting)* *Responsible for requirements gathering & analysis, working closely with business users* *Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues.* *Develop and drive the implementation of BW best practices and standards for the team.* *Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing.* *Strong verbal and written communication skills.* * * * Additional experience (Preferred/Plus)* * * *ABAP/4 and Object Oriented ABAP programming, macros, customer exits* *Certified in BW 7.0 a plus* *Working knowledge on BW 7.30* *Experience with BW Release 7.0 is essential.
